Pic Du Midi The Pic du Midi Observatory, the highest musuem in the world at 2,990metres, can be reached by cable car from the ski resort of La Mongie. The far reaching views of the Pyrenees are truly breathtaking. The Pic is approximately 22km from Les Cerisiers

Tour de France
Each year the Tour de France passes through the area over the nearby cols of Aspin and Tourmalet. For the more fainthearted mountain biker, there are many trails to suit all levels. Bike hire is available in Bagneres. In 2008, the 9th stage of the race finishes in Bagnères on Sunday 13th July and the competitors will be staying for 4 days. |  |

Marciac Jazz Festival Marciac, a bastide town is a wonderful setting deep in the middle of the Gascony countryside for many of the world's greatest jazz musicians to perform. Wynton Marsalas, Joe Cocker, Dave Liebman, Sonny Rollins and the Count Basie Band are some of the great names that play at the festival during the first 2 weeks of August and Les Cerisiers is only an hour's drive away. |

Paragliding In Beaudean, 4 kilometres from Bagneres is a paragliding centre where you can experience tandem flights, floating on the thermals over the valley floor. A week's course to qualify for solo flights are also available. | |
Pont D’Espagne. One of the most spectacular places to visit in addition to Gavarnie is the Pont D’Espagne with its magnificent lake and many waterfalls. It also provides the chance for the less mobile to reach the high peaks by cable car and chairlift. | |
Les Grottes de Medous Les Grottes de Medous, on the outskirts of Bagneres and are an interesting cave complex to visit. Further a field are other caves to visit such as Les Grottes de Labastide and Le Gouffre d'Esparros. |
